"It was imprudent of us, in the first place, to become authors. We could have become something regular, but we managed not to.
We were lucky, but we were also determined." Roy Blount Jr

"I don’t change the facts to enhance the drama. I think of it the other way round, the drama has got to fit the facts,
and it’s your job as a writer to find the shape in real life."
Hilary Mantel

Musical Monday: Wouldn't it be Good?

Nik Kershaw. Fave song. Another oh-so-80's style video.

My usual Tuesday morning leadership meeting isn't happening tomorrow, meaning I can extend my stay here at the cottage by another night. With the sunshine, blue sky, gentle breeze, and utter silence, I'd have had difficulty leaving. Ate my yogurt on the porch. Then the dogs and I had a long, delightful walk. Now they're slumbering next to me on the sofa. Having wrapped up my editing and indexing work on the cookbook, I can spend the day (and night) with my novel.

How inappropriate my song choice is...because at this moment I would not exchange places with anybody else!
