"It was imprudent of us, in the first place, to become authors. We could have become something regular, but we managed not to.
We were lucky, but we were also determined." Roy Blount Jr

"I don’t change the facts to enhance the drama. I think of it the other way round, the drama has got to fit the facts,
and it’s your job as a writer to find the shape in real life."
Hilary Mantel

Sunday Stroll: Rolling along the Highway

Sparkle the Green Lizard came along for the ride today.

And saw mountains.

And whale tails.

And this.

And this University of Georgia bulldog licence plate.

Scarlett O'Hara lived in Clayton County--before she moved to Atlanta.

Have you guessed where we are?
Probably not!
Look down for the answer....

The Georgia welcome centre is in Vermont.
The Georgia licence plates were unexpectedly encountered along our journey. (We saw an Alabama one also.)

Montreal, as we crossed the big bridge.

On rue St. Antoine ouest, Sparkle spots our hotel.

Ours is a corner room with its own foyer and plenty of space. Lots of very tall windows. Beautifully appointed.

The Chap picked out this hotel and this very room for us when he was here last week.

Sparkle checks out the view.

After such a long drive, Sparkle exercises by climbing over the toiletries.

Sparkle looks forward to seeing the city. We've been here before but it's her first visit.

Thanks for stopping by today. For some garden strolling, go here!

Au revoir!
